That framing is dangerous because it turns continuation into belief: — no evidence still counts as continuation — failure is admitted only after collapse In UIA language, continuation is not faith — it is whether the state semantics still hold.

The relationship between structure and trend continuation is simple: structure provides conditions that make continuation verifiable. 1) Continuation = the same State semantics remain intact — trend is not direction, but rhythm control by the advantaged side — as long as advantage semantics hold, continuation holds 2) Structure describes how continuation unfolds through nodes — expansion: advantage pushes forward — consolidation: advantage pauses but is not lost — pullback: acceptance and validation of the new state — re-expansion: semantics repeat and continuation is confirmed 3) Structure uses State Transition to separate consolidation from turning — both may look like a pause — the difference is whether state semantics remain repeatable 4) Structure uses Invalidation to define where continuation ends — without boundaries, continuation becomes narrative — with boundaries, continuation has executable termination Structure is not for believing continuation — it is for verifying it.
WHY IT MATTERS
Without structure, continuation judgment drifts into two extremes: — exiting too early by mistaking consolidation for an ending — admitting failure too late by mistaking invalidation for temporary noise Both share the same missing element: executable semantic standards.
